Welcome! I’m Becky and I live in southern Minnesota with my husband and also crafty daughter (Anika of Thing-A-Ma-Jigs). My love of sewing led us into a transition back to a more traditional (homestead-y) way of life. We’re in the city, but we firmly believe the motto “do what you can with what you have, where you are.”

Added to the mix of gardening, food preservation, cooking/baking, mending/repairing, splitting wood, community service, crocheting and sewing, we homeschool. A few years ago, I also started studying herbalism and am trying to learn more about growing and stocking our family’s herbal apothecary. I am forever trying to achieve balance between all the different facets of our lives (if you’ve discovered the secret, please share).

I have always loved to create and started selling my products in 2004 after running out of people to gift my items to. I began with online sales but wanted to focus more on our local community, so I started selling at the Mankato Farmer’s Market in 2007 with just eight products to offer. I currently sell more than 30 different sewn and handmade products, specializing in items for your kitchen, purse and baby. I especially enjoy creating items that help reduce waste and have multiple uses.

You will find Anika selling alongside me at the Market most Saturdays as well. She has been selling at the Market since 2010 and currently sells ten different products, including her famous bracelets and block-print cards.

All of our products are handmade by us in Mankato, Minnesota.

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to message me with any questions or comments.
